First Walk

Ania and I took Maya for her first walk. While we were "strollin" around, we found a pond across the street from our house that we never knew about. More pictures coming.. got a santa suit for Maya!

Having fun with our new toy.

Last night our friend Jana had her 30th birthday. (Yes Jana, we know, 30 is the new 20).. Ania went to the party and I was with Maya. We tried to top off her tanks with a good feed before Ania left but 20 minutes later, Maya was hungry. This kid can eat.. a lot!

Anyways, we had a great time, I watched my boring shows on TV and Maya pounded milk until she passed out.

We get by with a little help from our friends..

I went in to work today and it was strange to be away from Maya, but it was also invigorating. I feel like I have a new purpose, a new focus. Like it all means something. It's a strange feeling, but it just seems like EVERYTHING has changed..

Aside from all that, there are a few reasons why everything thus far seems to be going along great.

First: Maya is just great. Keep her fed and changed and no problems. She has a great attitude.



The other reason we are so at ease is largely due to a close friend of ours, Nancy Hoover. Nancy is the mother of the kids Ania took care of when she first came to the U.S., and has always been a close friend to Ania and I. She is also a pediatric nurse practitioner. She visited us in the hospital both days we were there, and has come by the house to see how we are getting along. She is priceless! Everything she has told us about Maya and how to care for her has been spot-on. Ania and I would be nervous wrecks if it was not for her.
Nancy.. You are the best!

It's all about Maya at this point..

Well, obviously we are very proud parents of our new baby.. and from the picture you can see what kind of kid she is.. so yes, I am one of those parents that feels that the world is revolving around my daughter.
So if you visit my blog for occasional wit, funky videos, etc.. that's coming back.. but for now.. MAYA MAYA MAYA..
