Fathers Day .. cough cough..

Well.. it's coming July 11th. The new iPhone will be $199, work on the faster 3g network, have a whole bunch of other enhancements.. and Apple is releasing the SDK so we can develop apps for it. Count me as very interested.
So.. why can't other phone manufacturers get it right? It just doesn't make sense. Seems to me the iPhone is what people want, and it was just to easy for Apple to say, "Hey, why do cell phones suck? Let's make one that doesn't."
